Tigers Use Second Half Surge To Reach Final Four
The Dundy County Stratton Tigers are in the Final 4 of the Class D1 State Football Playoffs. The Tigers won their Quarter Final game against Arcadia-Loup City 42 to 30 in Benkelman Tuesday night.
The Tigers trailed at half time 14 to 24, then dominated the second half scoring 28 unanswered points.
It was a complete team effort from the Tigers in front of a great Tiger crowd. It was the first time in history that the DCS School hosted a quarter final football playoff game.
DCS will travel to their semi-final game against Burwell who upset the West Division #1 seed Cambridge 71 to 48 Tuesday night. The game will be played on Monday with a time to be announced Wednesday. Burwell is the #5 seed and is the 2018 Class D1 Runner Up.
