Trenton Pool Tour Goes Well

Members the Trenton Pool Group and Trenton Village Board of Trustee Board members made a road trip to see three different community pools that had been updated in recent years. A representative from the Engineer Firm Miller and Associates took them on the tour that included the Cambridge and Alma pools on Monday, September 11.

Trenton Village Board Chairmen Cindy Borges, who participated in the trip, said it was well worth the time. The group left Trenton at 8am and was back to town by about 4:30pm. She said they saw some nice pools that will provided some good ideas for what they can do with the Trenton pool.

She also said that the pool group has received a 21 percent response to their community pool survey that was recently taken online. They were very happy with the results and want to thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey.

She said the plan is to have blue prints and drawings of the updated Trenton pool by Christmas when they can move into the next phases and start working on the financial details of the project.

In the meantime the group will start getting ready for their Halloween event planned for the Legion Hall at the Pow Wow Grounds in late October. The hoe to start decorating and putting the grid work up for the haunted maze that will be housed at the Legion Hall this weekend. The Halloween event will also include a Carnival and hay Rack Ride through the community.

Borges said they are encouraging Trenton residents to decorate their properties for Halloween and those that do will have a chance to win the community Halloween decoration contest. People riding on the Hay Rack ride will vote and serve as the judges for the contest. The Halloween Maze will be open the last weekend of October. In addition, she says they are needing more volunteers to help with the event. People to help with decorating and setting up for the event, actors for the Haunted Maze, and people to help with the games and other activities at the event.
