CITY OF BENKELMAN PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA

ACQUIRING THE PROPERTY LOCATED

AT 521 CHIEF STREET MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2026

The City Council met in the Council Chambers at 5:00 p.m. for a Public Hearing. Present: Mayor Tammy Buffington; Council Members Deb Stamm, Nick Baney, Dustin Bundy; City Clerk/Treasurer Robyn Mathews; Absent: Council Member JoAnn Decker, City Superintendent Tim Smith, Dundy County Sheriff Bang, City Attorney Tawna Holmstedt; Others present: Doug Christiansen of Five Rule Planning, Daisy Ruiz. (By Conference)  Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, Mayor Buffington called the meeting to order and stated that we follow the open meetings law, which is posted on the south wall by the main entrance.  Council member Nick Baney made a motion to open the Public Hearing at 5:04 p.m., seconded by Deb Stamm. Ayes: Baney, Bundy, Stamm; Absent: Decker; nays: none. Motion passed.  Daisy Ruiz was present via teleconference to discuss her property at 521 Chief Street.  Discussion was held but no action was taken.  Council member Nick Baney made a motion to close the public meeting at 5:11 p.m., seconded by Deb Stamm. Ayes: Bundy, Stamm, Baney; Absent: Decker; nays: none.
