DUNDY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS  SPECIAL MEETING JANUARY 25, 2025

    The special meeting of the Dundy County Commissioners was held on January 25, 2025, in the Commissioner’s meeting room. The notice of this Special meeting was posted in the Post Office, Grace Market, Pinnacle Bank, Lincoln Federal Savings and Bank, Kwik Stop and Frenchman Valley.

 Present: Commissioners Sye Tecker, Tom Richard, Aaron Keiser, Clerk-Mary Seybold, Assessor-Tish Burrell, Deputy County Attorney-Rory Roundtree (Telephonic), Lt. Alex Lucci, Karen Baker, Wendi Vanderford, Robin Mathews, Monica Peterson, Tammy Buffinton, Shawna Turpin, Pam Reichert, Jenny Sellers, Amy Fredrick and Arlene Stute.

 Chairman Aaron Keiser called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. and announced the location of the Open Meetings Act poster in the Dundy County Commissioner’s Meeting Room.

 Motion by Commissioner Tecker to approve the agenda for the meeting, seconded by Commissioner Richard, Ayes: Unanimous.

 First item of business is to accept the resignation of Sheriff King. Resignation letter was read by Chairman Keiser. A motion was made to accept Sheriff Kings resignation by Commissioner Richard, seconded by Commissioner Tecker, Ayes: Unanimous.

 After dialog discussing how the loss of the officers are going to affect the department, Lt. Alex Lucci was voted and approved to fulfill the Acting Sheriff position. Commissioner Richard moved; Commissioner Tecker seconded, Ayes: Unanimous.

 Public Comment and discussion ensued.

 Chairman Keiser called for going into Executive Session at 9:20 A.M. due to litigation concerns with the Sheriff and Deputy”s leaving Dundy County. Commissioner Richard moved and Commissioner Tecker seconded. Ayes: Unanimous.

 Commissioner Richard moved at 9:41 to come out of Executive Session, Commissioner Tecker seconded. Ayes: Unanimous.

 The Public returned to the room for further discussion.

 With no further business, Chairman Keiser adjourned the meeting at 9:52 A.M. The next regular meeting of the Dundy County Commissioners will be held on February 3, 2025, at 8:30 A.M.
