A Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Culbertson, NE, was held in the said Village at 7:00pm.
Vice-Chairman Bedore presided over the meeting Trustees Cooper, Erdman, and Bauer were present. Clerk and attorney were present. Chairman Sensel was absent. Guests present were Ron and Connie Barger, Shari Goodenberger, Chelsea Johnson, Bob Sitzman, Hope Strong, and Monte Dakan with Johnson Services.
Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Erdman to approve the minutes of April 1, 2025. All ayes, motion carried.
Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Bauer to approve the agenda. All ayes, motion carried.
The Open Meeting Act was noted and posted for all to view.
Monte Dakan with Johnson Services introduced himself and his company to the Board.
Hope Strong addressed the Board with a request to donate flags to the Village to be hung in the downtown area. Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Bauer to accept the generous gift. All ayes, motion carried.
Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Erdman to donate $2,500.00 to the 4th of July Committee. All ayes, motion carried.
Motion was made by Bedore and seconded by Cooper to accept the $84,986.00 bid by Shelco Asphalt and Paving for the upcoming street project. All ayes, motion carried.
Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by accept the bid from Acme Printing Co. for website design. All ayes, motion carried.
Motion was made by Erdman and seconded by Bedore to accept the $4,100.00 bid from Core and Main for a meter reader upgrade. All ayes, motion carried.
Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Bauer to accept the building permits for Level 3 Communications. All ayes, motion carried.
Motion was made by Bedore and seconded Erdman to approve the vacation requested by the Village Clerk. All ayes, motion carried.
Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Bauer to accept Option 1 PPO for employee healthcare presented by LIGHT. All ayes, motion carried.
