The Dundy County Stratton Board of Education met on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Dundy County Stratton High School.  President Noffsinger called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM.  Attendance Taken at 6:01 PM. Jennifer Fries: Present, Steve Guernsey: Absent, Ted Henderson: Present, Nick Ladenburger: Present, Kent Lorens: Present, Cole Lutz: Present, Sandy Noffsinger: Present, Lindsay Stamm: Present, Shad Stamm: Present. Present: 8, Absent: 1.  Others present: Alan D Garey, Superintendent; Sandy O’Neil, Secondary Principal; Kris Freeland, Elementary Principal; Ronda Sargent, Recording Secretary/Business Manager; Melissa Jacobitz and Lesley Marshall  Pledge of Allegiance.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  President Noffsinger stated that the board follows the Open Meetings Act Guidelines which are located in the meeting room.  The Board of Education may enter closed session during the meeting when it determines that doing so is appropriate and is authorized by the provisions of the Open Meeting Act. Awards and Recognitions  Ladenburger recognized the Elementary staff for their performance of the reading program at the Elementary. Garey-Bob Braithwait from Wallace sent this message: “The Horner student led a prayer after the game that was incredible. He said the NPSP defensive coordinator looked at Brad after the prayer and said “Is there anything these kids aren’t good at?”. Brad went on to say that the DCS are just wonderful kids. He can’t say enough good things about Spargo and how classy the FB team is. He said it’s really frustrating because you want to hate them but you find yourself cheering for them because they are talented, disciplined, talk no trash, respectful, 1st class.” O’Neil recognized the Jr./Sr. High School teachers on how they run the classroom and how the teachers prepare for the substitutes.  Freeland recognized Lesley Marshall for taking and reviewing the reading curriculum for the next school year, and L Stamm for the AR movies set up.  Stamm recognized Mr. Freeland for his work and extra time spent on the daycare.  Noffsinger recognized the Volleyball team for their accomplishments with the VB program.
